Name a better president.
Name a better president
Pretty much anyone of them.
I love Nixon, but he's undeniably a corrupt bastard.
Watergate, crack "epidemic", to name two.
I've also heard that he did some meddling behind the scenes to prolong the Vietnamese war so he could campaign against it? If that's actually true that's pretty shit.
nixon was too early for crack cocaine. "cocaine cowboys 3" tells the story of a drug dealer who supposedly invented crack to sell to doctors so they could smoke cocaine quickly and easily, and he called it "ready rock". that flips the script on the white man inventing it to enslave black people; it was a black man exploiting rich white doctors.
I'm not talking about who "invented" it. I'm talking about how they treated crack during the "war on drugs". It was functionally not much different from cocaine, but it carried a higher sentence. You're right though, it wasn't Nixon.
I found the article about Nixon prolonging the Vietnam war though. Don't really want to read through the whole article again, so you can read it if you want.

Millard Fillmore
>How to prove you are an NPC
Now compare Watergate to Obama IRS Scandal, crack epidemic to the opioid one, and Vietnam war to Afghanistan.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy
>set the stage for the moon landings
>lead America through the height of the Cold War
>With the help of writer Ted Sorensen, he gave possibly among the greatest political speeches in American history

well, are you suggesting that social control isn't a good idea? legalizing weed has increased lots of killings/death in the black community. it might sound like a passe concept but it's proven to be true.
I never said he was the worst? I just said "pretty much anyone of them" would be better, not EVERY one of them.
I don't really care about Obama. I'm not even a US citizen. I just think Nixon was very interesting as a person.
what happens is that they get weed legally and then hang out to sell to kids, and then lots of people get killed as dealers or buyers.
Are you sure that that's black communities as a whole, and not just one or two somewhere in rural Georgia? And are you considering other factors?
Legalization of drugs almost always reduces the dangers associated with them. Sometimes even how many people are doing them, funnily enough.
Other than a few bits of political nonsense, this was one of the most devastating speeches delivered

Stevenson following up at the UN was insane.
Joseph P. Madre.
>pretty much anyone of them
>pretty much everyone of them
It means the same thing, faggot. Go fuck yourself!
You never even gave another example.
You gave one. That's still "pretty much all of them" and had nothing to do with what I actually said.
>Obama did that too!
Okay? I don't care. Of no relevance.
Whenever I see retards saying how much America has "gone to shit" I always have to remind myself that at one point in time, New York looked like pic related, actual nuclear devastation was increasingly likely, we were neck-in-neck with the Soviet Union in a technological arms race (and the Soviets beat us a couple of times like with the Sputnik Crisis), the city of Watts was burning.etc and I remember that not a whole lot has actually changed
Retarded fag, you basically said that Nixon was the worse because of Watergate, crack epidemic, and war in Vietnam, with the last two not even his responsibility.
I stated that those are chickenshit compared to the modern scandals Obama and Bush were responsible for, so there are at least two presidents that are worse than Nixon.
KYS!
Eisenhower, the last US president not wholly in the pocket of the military-industrial complex. He was a man who had seen the horrors of war up close, and probably the last Republican who wasn't a chickenhawk.
America was never great. We got flush with post-war money, power, and influence and the citizenry benefitted greatly (i.e. boomers). The 60s and 70s was an absolute horrorshow of psyops, violence, drugs, and everything else we have today. There was a short period of cleaning up the mess in the 90s during the offshoring of US jobs, once again making our richest flush with cash, again trickling a little bit down to the average shitmuncher.
I'd still rather live here than some other shitty country.
>I'd still rather live here than some other shitty country
that might be the saddest bit of it all...
There are 46 presidents, user. 2 examples does not level the playing field.
Watergate alone was bad. Kick-him-out-of-office bad. That's not common among presidents. If it was, Nixon wouldn't be remembered nearly as well.
Nixon was a shit president. He was a corrupt man who probably prolonged the Vietnam war and deliberately covered up Watergate.
He's AMONG the worst. Whether he is THE worst is irrelevant. He's bottom tier.
America has had ups (postwar economic boom, moon landings, post-Soviet decadence of the 80s and 90s.etc) and downs (Civil War, Prohibition, Great Depression, Cold War, 9/11.etc) we will peak again someday. Thats why having principles are important. I love America in spite of its faults and I wouldn't have it any other way. Its a shitshow but its our shitshow
His removal of the gold standard is unforgivable
People complain about this country but I ask them, where the hell are you going to go? Canada's just the US dipped in a coating of gay Franco-European culture, and they have even worse bureacracy and bleeding heart bullshit than us. The UK is an in-your-face surveillance state and the weather and food suck, plus it's small. Australia is a giant desert with the same bullshit as the other two. Or you can fuck off to a non-English dominated country and I bet you'll find a sudden downgrade in creature comforts that will have you running back, or quickly discovering fun new ways to cope and delude yourself. Everywhere you go, it's corruption and political thievery and warmongers fucking with your sense of security and gross entitled hippies and violent subhumans and uppity trust fund faggots. People are people no matter where they're at.
Make due with what you've got. Here in the US, we have more opportunity than we think, even if it's continuously eroded by countless factions.
He got impeached
he was corrupt as all shit
he got rid of the gold standard and let the fed print money like crazy.
sure you cant name one yourself?
that is the thing user, there is no savior state.
they all have their own failures. What we can do is find the least bad amongst them.
We are too imature as a species now, we need a collaboration of ideas until we can make a truly better place for all
>he got rid of the gold standard and let the fed print money like crazy.
as bad as that was, opening china into gutting US manufacturing was pretty metal
He opened the door to China stealing American jobs and Reagan sealed the deal.
Washington.
You lose.
Forever.
you know "pretty much" is the qualifier statement right?
People act like outsourcing is a new thing. Its not. Some countries have a very valuable currency, some countries have a very undervalued currency. The countries with the high valued currency have countries with low valued currency make stuff for them so countries with high valued currency can have higher wages. Thats it. Americans don't work for cheap we never have. The Chinese work for next to nothing.
