I’m not good with people and I’ve been told pets are good for loneliness. I’ve narrowed it down to a cat or a bunny. Which one should I get and do either one of them like being hugged?

Cat: Just like a woman, pander to me, but don't touch me unless I want you to.

Bunny: Love me, feed me and I will snuggle up with you.

Okay so bunnies really like snuggling like I would be to lay in bed and just pet it as long as I feed him carrots and cabbage. I learn what they actually like eating

The key is being rough and manhandling that cat as a kitten from day 1. They'll come to expect it and enjoy cuddling and being picked up all the time.

I can’t tell if you’re being serious. I just want a companion that I can at least pretend loves me

bunnies probably are happy with less room than cats.

I grew up with 7+ cats. If you get it as a kitten and show it you're not a threat and rough house with it all the time, it will not be phased by you grabbing it, picking it up, or doing pretty much whatever to it later on.

Google that shit, read a lot and watch sopme videos.
Don't listen to Any Forums for adivce.

Most animals need a lot more care than people think.

If you are lonely you probably will get more satisfaction with a bunny

wanted to add: cats are a lot more interesting than bunnies

don't get either, dumbass
get a little fucking dog like a teacup terrier

Unless you'd let your rabbit run free into your house, don't get one. They were not meant to be locked in a cage.

And keep in mind that rabbits require specific foods and poop a LOT.

They are also very sensitive. They can die easily.

if you really want something to cuddle with you'd have more luck with a dog than those two
I have 4 cats at home and my sample size says they''re pretty cuddly, but it's really hit or miss with them, I was probably just lucky (though some breeds are more cuddly than others)

cats got moves. bunnies are just shacking in fear constantly

Cat, bro. Rabbits will poop everywhere and in general are stressed animals. It will take a long time to get a rabbit to trust and feel safe with you.
Cats will poop in their box and hang and be chill. Like others have said, get a kitten and roughhouse with it as play. Better get two kittens and roughhouse with both. You’ll be their loving parent in their eyes.

i had a pet cricket in jail

they confiscated it and i got locked-in for 24hrs for contraband

I didn't even mention bunnies tbh. had one as a pet somewhere during my early teens and those little shits aren't good for pets at all. they can even get aggressive at times, while none of the cats I've had throughout my entire life went as far as even scratching or biting me
cats are based af if you raise them properly

Dog, failing that cat but select a breed that's known for the attributes you're after, some are assholes. Rabbits are high maintenance, their entire day is in one end out the other nonstop, and can die easily.

I've had both and a rabbit is a skittish creature. If you want to carry and cuddle it, it probably will get very distressed by you. I would suggest getting a male cat and declawing it. Male cats are usually very cuddly and dont poop every 4 steps like a rabbit will.

Get a dog

plant then pet then person

climb the ladder

>and declawing it
no seriously, don't do that. that's just a cruel thing to do and also illegal in most countries
better to just trim their claws every once in a while or give them a wooden post to scratch whenever they need it instead of amputating part of their fingers and crippling them for life
