You didn't say what movie that's from but I'd have to guess The Longest Day?
>You didn't say what movie that's from but I'd have to guess The Longest Day?
Longest Day was WWII iirc, that looks like WW1
Vincent Price is always worth a watch, I just recently watched 'The Fly' for the first time, it was pretty good, they did a lot without being too graphic, modern movies hit you over the head with explicit graphic horror etc, subtlety is a lost art
Film Noir is a good genre if looking for classic films,
I am a fan of Charles Laughton, his 1935 Mutiny on the Bounty I thought was very good, some think he is cartoonish, but I think he played Bligh quite well,
and of course Gregory Peck in Moby Dick
Sergeant York, Gary Cooper
>Sergeant York
Fellini's 'La Strada' was one of the first old classics I saw
As a freshman in college, the film club played it one night, had me crying my eyes out
Canadian and British soldiers used the same helmets in both world wars
Help, how to stop thinking about politics?
Oops.
The Fly 1958
Vincent Price has a kind of minor role in this, but the story is well done
>Help, how to stop thinking about politics?
watch old classic films haha
this is a classic noir, keep seeing it referenced, have to get around to watching it
imdb.com
sounds twisted, like pre-code era
of course everyone should watch Metropolis at some point
For me it was obscure and dull, perhaps it loses something in translation.
