Golf requires literally zero athletic ability. No strength, no endurance, no agility. At best it can be considered a precision based sport like darts because the physical exertion is the same. Even curling requires more athletic capabilities. Just look at the people playing golf, most are old enough to have needed a hip replacement or two by now
