Is it just me or does vaping weed suck? I just got back into smoking weed again and this is my second time trying vapes. I dunno if I'm doing something wrong here but it feels like a waste of time. For one thing they are not "odorless", they're just 1/10 the strength and it doesn't stick to your skin and clothes like regular smoke. Plus the cartiages themselves smell like weed and if you use dry herb it's just pointless. They're also not anywhere close to as strong as I thought they would be and it doesn't feel like I'm getting that high feeling like with a piece or joint.
Am I missing something? Why is this so popular? I'm gonna finish my stash but I'm thinking about not doing it anymore, unless the chance to smoke it comes up. I may try edibles but I've heard mixed things about that too.

Well obviously it's nowhere close to having a dry herb stash laying around, but it's still kinda annoying that it has a slight smell. But yeah I have considered that maybe this particular vape sucks. I brought pic related, forgot to mention that. But I didn't want to spend hundreds for something I'm on the fence about.
I may look into it. I'd rather not order shit online though.

Edibles dont do shit for me unless homemade brownies. I buy 1ml hose of glass pure syringe (5 for 99 CAD) and refill that in 510 cartridge. You can get empty cart and battery for real cheap at aliexpress, it took me 3 month cause shanghai lockdown. Try asking around local smokeshops or online stores.

I get 510 carts in Vegas. Live resin is a type of formulation you can get with carts. It's supposed to be the complete oil from the herb. Ask your budtender for recommendations. I like Medizin (there's a blueberry one I like) and Select (Jack Refer or Chem 91 are pretty good). I used to hit a ton of Rove carts (Ghost Train Haze, though Skywalker was good too), but they make my lungs hurt too much since halfway through the pandemic.
Go for brands that don't use solvents like Benzene. CO2 is the best.
Taste... some carts aren't bad, but you need to do research on the terpenes. I don't care enough, though I suspect I'm allergic to something specific (my body hates plants).
Also, if you have a cart you like but hate the smell, you can twist off the top of the cart and eat the oil. It'll taste a bit bitter... maybe spicy, but it still hits hard. It's sticky af though. I used to scrape it out with a paper clip.

i tried it a decade ago and it was underwhelming. a bit between smoking and edibles. no immedieate strong high, but no long edible lasting high. Pretty much just felt immedietly tired rather than high. I never had a volcano or good shit, but i've tried blunts, joints, bowls, bongs, edibles, tinctures, etcs and vaping was the most expensive and least enjoyable. granted this was all 10-12 years ago

Try out a dynavap m! It's like a little over 50$ I think and all you need to do is heat up the cap until it clicks, wait and heat it up some more then inhale and try and use your lighter to continue heating it up as you inhale and it hits hard! Or expirement how best to use it yourself.
Anyways it produces thick hot vapor that hits hard and is amazingly flavorful so long as you don't overheat it and burn it, then it will taste like shit.
