I am supposed to be a paladin dark elf. I am in riverdale and I already delivered that letter and lied and during the opening I already used the longbow. so I already am screwing up the paladin part.
I think I will be a dark elf paladin and allow myself the archery and maybe some fire spells (holocaust). I'll try not to lie anymore.
The only mod installed so far is the race menu. I am still going through mods and trying to figure out which ones to install so the game has not really starte yet. only slightly started.

I am so frustrated with youtube tutorials
thy are less than worthless because they give you false hope.
all the searches I am finding to convert OBJ to NIF point outdated softwares. sI had to download an old version of blender and it seems that people claim nifskope can import OBJ and 3DS but at least not the most current version. I have not installed an older version of that yet.
for 3ds max the addin is only for 2018 which is near impossible to get right now and I could try to compile the code I found for 3ds max 2021 or 2022 but then I just introduced a whole lot more problems. so I am definitely not going the 3ds max route
then there is the option of a $300 version of facegen that might do it and the :filez: version I found already triggers the ms defender. I might try a VM with the defender turned off and then install the :filez: facegen modeller and I might have that as an option

Maybe avoiding the whole $300 version there is the way to go... I feel like perhaps the whole Race Menu route might be better than trying to convert and import stuff from thingy to thingy at that point then kek
