That isn't how it will ever go down. You'll see a slow increase in in-equality, with greater privatization of police forces. Look to latin america in the 50s as an example of what the next 50 years will be like here. You'll have occasional labor uprisings at best, which will be handled militarily. The "blue collar" workers will be used to suppress the people just below them, much like the current army and police forces pull from the bottom middle class / and lower class.

The hard part is going to be riding the top wave, and clinging to the established wealthy as they segregate and slowly climb out of reach. Any kind of real civil war is a minimum 50 years off and won't happen until the inequality is significantly higher than it is now - climate change or masive resource shortage could change that equation.
