I guess I don't know you well, but I feel like this is a common response. Learn to take a compliment dude, don't be negative or explain why it might not be accurate. I'm not saying this affects me but it would affect those around you if they notice this pattern and deter them from complimenting you in the future. Also, I figured if anything the mom would be hitting on you/flirting with you has she not expressed interest?

Understood, mostly meant I don't really do much of anything, good or bad, but can accept stating that way is a bad idea (although would not be that candid in person).
As for K showing any interest, I don't think so. Being a matchmaking target for someone's daughter would seem to definitively rule that out though.
