whats this meme where every card is black with retarded accent colors and any other color is considered a halo product

You WILL pay premium for that white card

OP has been yet again co-opted by a biased individual. For instance, the 6700 XT is only the competitor of the 3060 Ti, and the CPU recommendations are confused to say the least.

Additionally, lines like
>Nvidia requires more wattage than AMD for same performance
betray an obvious bias, considering even at the high end, the 3080 and 6800 XT only have a power delta of about 25W at stock.

Don't trust his lies

alright Any Forumsuys
i got a problem

i am aiming to play games at 1080p high @ ~144 hz
i currently have an i7 6700k and a GTX 1060 6GB
i have a couple of upgrade options that i want your opinions on

option 1:
>upgrade GTX 1060 6GB to RX 6600 XT
>keep i7 6700k

option 2:
>upgrade i7 6700k to an Xeon E-2286M (basically an i9 9900k)
>upgrade GTX 1060 6GB to RX 6600 XT / RX 6700 / RX 6700 XT (idk which GPU would go better)

option 3:
>replace platform
>upgrade i7 6700k with i5 12400f or R5 5600
>upgrade GTX 1060 6GB to RX 6600 XT

option 4:
>do nothing and wait

Damn I forgot to remove 3060 from other user's OP. Thanks for reminding me.

Do nothing and wait, cuz you're memeing on those garbage amd cards

Alright, let's say I need to upgrade my CPU and Motherboard. Let's also say that my budget is $500. Finally, let's assume that I want to kick the shit out of 1080p gaming and be future proof for a while
What do I get?

a job

yeah you're not really "upgrading" to anything with those low-tier cards. i would not expect 1080p 144 frames consistent. get a better card and if total cost is an issue put off the CPU upgrade for later

Return 6600 for a 6600 XT which costs 30% more, Y/N?

other than the 5800X3D autism it's a fairly decent op. at least he finally got rid of the gtx 1060 and rx 470/570 in the budget gpu segment
keep it, nvidia gpus have finally gone down in price and are more competitive now

currently nvidia is still not msrp and future nvidia is off the table b/c i don't want a space heater in my room
doesn't have to be 144 consistent
and wdym about not upgrading to anything
the RX 6600 XT is practically two GTX 1060 6GBs worth of performance

>$500 budget for 2 components
>Sure poorfag
Really nigger? You couldn't even out effort into your shit post?

and by not "144 consistent" I mean the 100-144 range

I have an i5-6600 and an RX480 (with 8gb of Vram) and I get terrible performance in RDR2 even with settings at minimum. I'm not fussed about high quality graphics, so is it my CPU that is holding me back?

>Recommended PSU is 650w
>Realize I need to upgrade it further if I want to upgrade my other parts in the future
>No one wants to buy a used PSU unlike GPU or CPU
Is buying 'PSU at its recommended wattage' a huge scam from the manufacturers to avoid future proofing our PC? I would have bought 1000+w right off the had I realized this sooner. Fuck

RDR2 is a benchmark game buddy, both are holding you back

>removed the recommendation for 32gb of ram and 16gb minimum
you all are really retarded 14 year olds huh?
