2022, Google reverse search went from being one of the most useful resources on the internet to something completely useless.
Why did they take it from us?

Google keeps getting worse. It has pajeet bot spam sites on the first page.

Ironically the changes they made only reinforce that.
If you reverse searched the picture of a black person years ago the result would just be websites with that exact same picture.
Nowadays reverse searching it just gives you a tag and other unrelated images with the same tag.
The tag can easily be gorilla or chimpanzee.

All the good content shriveled up and died, there's nothing for google to even index anymore.

People were using it to debunk propaganda like false military operated school shootings organized to justify disarming populations. Remember when the sandy hook memorial photo board outside the school used pics from kids in Syria claiming they were kids who died in the school, and people noticed? That kind of stuff is easier to notice with reverse image search. Yandexs is better anyways

Yandex reverse search is slightly better, but it's not even remotely comparable to old Google.

Same reason they removed the specific date range for results features. Companies like google want you distracted and retarded not selective and informed

In Chrome you can right click image -> Search image with Google Lens.

Click on the picture to crop the image for refined results. Then just Ctrl+Click on the matches to open them in a new tab
