VA hospital sucks. So many lazy tards. So few hard workers.
retarded procedures. disbelief in civilian doctor's diagnosis. "we need to see it first" shit.
government run healthcare isn't all that great.
VA hospital sucks. So many lazy tards. So few hard workers
Did you ever kill someone? My apologizes if it makes you uncomfortable but I feel obligated due to this sites taboo focus
> my apologies if it makes you feel uncomfortable
I hate that we have to tiptoe around this with veterans. It should just be a straightforward question. They can cry about it later, their whole service pay was my tax money
>government run healthcare isn't all that great.
Yeh, but it's better than what Americans get now. If you don't have great insurance or money, you get jack shit.
It’s garbage and a window into what government ran healthcare would look like in this country. Idk how tf anyone would honestly want the US federal government in charge of their healthcare
True. VA is literally the best value for healthcare that a non-government-official can get in the US. People *literally* put their lives on the line for it.
Snowflakes like you take that info and use it against them so there is a distrust talking about it with people who dont understand it.
Why did you kill someone:/
Government run healthcare is nothing but a scam. They'll tax the shit out of us and then say there's no money available to treat your illness.
Socialism is for retards and poor people. Those of us with money know the only system that works is capitalism. Socialists should be deported as they are not real Americans
Because it simplifies medical care for citizens.
Right now i have insurance subsidized by my employer, meaning that I'll need to keep my job in order to stay covered. Why are these two things linked in any way? People stay in shitty job situations just to keep their healthcare.
If i see a doctor or have a procedure done, I'll be charged for it. But i have health insurance! Doesn't matter- i will have to pay out of pocket for any medical issues despite being covered. The insurance company will only pay once i deplete my deductible (spend several thousand of my own money) first.
My drug/procedure may not be covered even though i have insurance- and even though i hit my deductible- i would still have to pay out of pocket.
Is this an easy system for patients to manage? The current healthcare system in the US is completely broken in pointless ways and inflates costs of drugs/procedures, the amounts that facilities charge for medication, and the premiums that customers pay. Privatized healthcare is a fucking joke that's built to prioritize healthcare and insurance company profits over care of patients.
VA Hospitals don't have enough doctors or funding. Typical government funded health care. America is good at making veterans, not so good at taking care of them.
We just gave $40 billion to Ukie Jews who will steal all the money.
VA healthcare is great according to my dad. They saved him from a bunch of fucking quacks who had him on 30 meds that were mostly to treat side effects of each other. Fucking shits. The VA are saints. Also fuck off shill
Socialism only works in a Jew-free society.
This is a similar situation to what privatized healthcare has lead to.
Have you ever gone to a store and refused to buy something because it cost too much? Have you ever walked into a medical procedure knowing exactly what you'll need to pay beforehand? It's impossible to know the costs because they don't calculate/negotiate them until after it's over.
Have you ever gotten a medical bill where the price you pay seems made up? It's because it is. Insurance companies and healthcare providers collude and negotiate together to shake patients down for whatever they think you can afford. That's why you get charged $60 for 3 fucking Tylenol in a hospital.
>Privatized healthcare is a fucking joke that's built to prioritize healthcare and insurance company profits over care of patients
This is 100% true. If you look at nearly every metric, people under universal healthcare have better health and financial outcomes and are happier with the system that those under privatized healthcare. It also costs less in nearly every case. For profit healthcare has failed every time it's been tried.
>government run healthcare isn't all that great.
this isn't a condemnation of universal or government run healthcare; the VA sucks because politicians dont give a shit about veterans so they dont fund the VA.
and no healthcare professional that could get a job somewhere else is going to go work at that clusterfuck of an organization. they do everything they can to try to PREVENT you from actually seeking care through them
>Idk how tf anyone would honestly want the US federal government in charge of their healthcare
tell that to all of the old people on medicare
Also Republicans are infamous for cutting funding of government entities that they hate, then point the finger at them for failing, citing it as proof of the failure of government.
this, except that it's less about individual providers and more about how healthcare organizations and executives (like entire hospitals and health systems) have become corporatized and have all the bargaining power, so they can jack up the prices along with the insurance companies because they know most people either have no other alternative or dont know enough to fight it.
as far as individual providers the scammy ones are doctors that charge on a fee-for-service model, because theyll take something as innocent as a conversation and find a way to bill you for it. NEVER go to a FFS provider if you can avoid it. go with either capitation or per diem/DRG depending on how often you go to the doctor and for what
also this. theyve been doing this since at least reagan, as far as i know
>"we need to see it first" shit.
they want to deny that your injuries and sicknesses might be service-related. because if they DO prove that it is, the federal government will have to give you (and all the others affected) a big ol' payout and possibly have to deal with a scandal.
>"what, no way your hearing problems are related to working around loud heavy machinery for years, what are you talking about? i dont care if 30 other doctors said its obviously the cause, WE have to decide for you"
>go with either capitation or per diem/DRG depending on how often you go to the doctor and for what
gonna append this:
capitation > DRG > per-diem. if you're really worried that your doctor is going to try to scam you, find one that does capitation payment because they get the same fee per patient, no matter how short or long the person is sick for or how fatal or not the diagnosis is. DRG varies on your insurance, essentially after they calculate how worthy you are of being alive and if they want to pay for you to stay alive. the per diem model only applies to hospitals and its only the cheapest if you KNOW you're going for a short stay
BUT, after this is all said and done, it's near impossible to actually make a choice based on these financing options alone because this isn't information that's readily available to the public. and you're also at the behest of whatever is nearby; if there's only one doctor covering a massive area and they only use a FFS model, you're pretty much fucked.
this is why the "market competition" in private healthcare is bullshit. the deck is stacked against any normal individual thats trying to make an informed choice.
