I paid $145 for my unlocked Pixel 3 in open box condition on ebay. Then i loaded it with CalyxOS and installed the Mull browser from F-Droid.
This is the most cancer-free phone setup in general.

>>can't set custom search engines
can
>>chromium extensions are disabled
only by default, you can enable them in the settings. because play store is intrusive and vivaldi cares about your privacy.

Firefox used to be pretty good but then they fucked it up with some awful UI refreshes

>google's cancerous app
Imagine unironically trying to escape the botnet on a phone. Good luck with that bro.
>Is there any alternative?
I use my phone to make calls and log in a stupid gacha game. Nothing important is stored, gallery full of pepes and wojacks. I don't care about the botnet because I do 99% of my activities on pc.

1) Install Firefox Nightly for Android play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.fenix
2) Set gfx.webrender.all to true in about:config (force enables full gpu rendering, increases speed and battery life)
3) Install the uBlock Origin extension
4) Restart the app
