If time-traveling was possible we would have contacted by people from the future...

If time-traveling was possible we would have contacted by people from the future. But nothing like this happened which means humanity gets stalled in our progress or we go extinct. I'm really afraid bros. Is there no hope?

There's a thorey that you can only go back to when the first time machine is invented

Wouldn't they send the inventor in this case?

Bump

There's a theory that time is just a theory. I think maybe they'reeeeee righty about that theory

Are you time traveller?

> we would have contacted by people from the future

Kek why? If our current trajectory leads to time travel levels of technology why the fuck would you go back and change a single thing?
It would mean humanity survived all our bullshit, all our wars, all our stupidity and you think a highly intelligence thousands of years in the future human race would just head on back and fuck with it? No

We can't rule out the possibility that time travel creates an alternate timeline instead of taking you back on your original timeline.

If that was the case, and we are living in the original timeline, then we would never actually experience any time travelers coming to visit us from the future.

take DMT and you will be contacted ahaha

protip: consciousness is nonlocal

We're all time travelers. Time is only a memory. There is no need for time anywhere but in your mind. It does not help to describe or measure the movement of anything except to humans because we fixated our memories with time. It does not exist. It's just that simple

They would come back to help us avoid mistakes that affect them negatively as well. I mean if we would research time travel technology right now I'm sure we would get back to save people dying to floods and stuff like that.

>We're all time travelers. Time is only a memory.

Einstein: "Time and Space are just modes by which we think, they are not the conditions in which we live"

"Eternity is not a long time - eternity is not in time" - Joseph Campbell

>If time-traveling was possible we would have contacted by people from the future. But nothing like this happened

1) It is entirely possible that we on earth have been visited by a future species that learned how to time- and space-travel.
2) There is no guarantee that any species capable of space- and time-traveling will announce their presence to us, or let us know they have found us.

>consciousness
consciousness is only biology, ist like your pc its working while it has electricty, with no power (like glucose and shit) your consciousness is down. its a machine

> Help us avoid mistakes

Nigger you are talking about a literal time faring species that almost certainly has access to interplanetary travel. Even if "fixing mistakes" wasn't fucking with the future, we would be like ants to them

If time travel was real, it would likely be incredibly complex, almost to the point of being impossible to do with any margin of safety.

Traveling through time does not necessarily mean traveling through space. So, if you activate your time machine to travel one minute backwards in time, it wouldn't account for your position in space. As the Earth rotates and moves through space you could find yourself appearing with your shins stuck halfway inside the floor or 10 feet up in the air and fall to the ground.

You would likely have to do extraordinarily complex calculations and time your time-travel jump just right to actually end up where you want to be in space as well as in time.

So, maybe that is what has prevented time travelers from coming back here. Maybe nothing from this time so far is worth the risk of coming to visit.

See, from the great minds themselves. It is obviously a constraint of human thought. It really plays no role in an unobservable universe. A particle moving does not need time applied to it. It is simply position and change of position. We need time for our record of it in order for that movement to make sense to us. But that's only because of how our memory works. We can't measure instinctively. We need memory for our "consciousness" to work. The condensing of space or "gravity" does not require a shift in time either. The two are not linked. There is no "space time". It's all in your head. When you leave you'll see it for yourself but when you return you will forget all about it.

Time is a construct of man. There is no before or after, that doesn’t exist. There is only now

You could also argue the very act of travelling back in time would alter the timeline meaning you never went back in time - even a single atom out of place could have consequences that changed the future.

Time does exist, it it literally used in all kind of physics formulas. How would you even calculate things like speed?
