Hey Any Forumsros
My cat got out and she doesn't have a collar and she's not chipped.
I planned on taking her this week to get spayed and chipped, but fate had different plans.
It's been 4 days and I'm worried.
Fliers, online posts, and walking the alleys 3 times a day.
Any stories of cats coming back after a while would help soothe my nerves. Any bizzare pics like pic related would help distract me.
Hey Any Forumsros
call out for her every night.
i know its hard but trust that she found another home and is getting fed there.
>pic unrelated
I've been. I even have a worn shirt of mine out there and the back doors all open
I wouldn't mind if she was safe in someone else's home, I just would want closure, somehow.
either she'll not come back or return pregnant
I'm fine with 5 cats, as long as I can have my 1 cat again.
My cat went away for 2 weeks once, we were sure he was RIP but it was nothing..
Thank you kind sir for your reassuring words, humorous cat webm, and trips of truth
>appreciated
>checked
hope it comes back... best of vibes!
You better not be that dumbass from Any Forums who lost his cat a few months ago
Thank you
No, sorry, my cat has been gone 4 days. (Maybe I'm overreacting)
Any Forums is my only "social media"
Any Forums is my only board
That's just sad
Cats don't often stray far from the location they were initially lost, especially female cats. Buy traps, fill them with food and put them out around your area. I tried walking my cat in a cemetery and she got away. I found her 6 weeks later because I didn't give up and kept trapping. You'll see a lot of raccoons and stuff, but if your cat is still alive and hasn't been taken in by another family or animal, she'll find her way there.
Or animal control*
Look for places around your house/ neighborhood a cat might hide. My cat got outside last year and was hiding under my neighbors logs
First, find some other board then this shithole. Second, ask all you neighbors especially kids since they always remember animals. Third, place a small bowl of cat food on your doorstep incase s/he find their way home. Fourth, check your local animal shelter/pound websites since they usually post pictures of reccently claimed animals. I had my little fuck go on a week adventure and the kid around the corner told me a shelter came and picked him up, good news is that hes never left the yard since.
How did you deal with the loss for 6 weeks? I'm falling apart going into day 5.
I'll try a trap tomorrow or the day after but I know I will most likely only catch rats.
forgot pic, I also got him fat now so he's less likely to get too far from his food source
If you're not on Next Door, try that, too.
You know how cats are. Maybe she's just enjoying being outside in the warm weather and will come sauntering back when she gets bored.
I have done or will do all of that, except
>find some other board than this shithole.
Here she is in case anyone was wondering.
It was an incredibly difficult process, but I kept chugging away, going to look for her every day. Family support helps. I also had an old lady running a feral cat colony nearby that my cat made her way to, and she was being fed by her. We found her on day 5 but I couldn't catch her for another 5 weeks. Just keep looking man, but leaving out multiple traps around the proximity of where she was lost will be the best option.
she's cute, with a pattern like people will probably remember. On the darker side of things maybe check out something like kajiji or whatever the equivalent is and see if anyone is trying to sell her off, it's a stretch but I know people that had unique cats that some dipshits thought they could steal and sell.
There has been at least 2 times where one of my cats was gone for about a week and came back.
Just last year though we had a beautiful tan colored cat that just never came back and we believe a coyote got it.
