Why aren't you buying a new GPU right now?
Why aren't you buying a new GPU right now?
I already bought Radeon
Because mine works.
- written from a R9 290 hammering on 4K
I will buy silicon that hasn't improved 2D performance in 10 years. I will buy silicon that draws more than 50 watts. I will buy silicon that can't drive a 4K TV from walmart for $300 when it would cost me $400 to $2000. I will consoom and I will be happy.
What's the point if you do not play video games? Video encoding is also shit on GPUs.
no want
My 1060 is still working fine for me.
I already waited 6 years I learned to adapt, in fact I don't think I will ever buy a new card, ever. And neither should you. In fact maybe GPU manufacturers should go bankrupt. Oh well, maybe they deserve it.
>Jew shilling this desperately
NVidia must really have their hands wrapped around his nutsack
If I were building a new computer, then sure. But my RX 570 is still able to play everything I need.
This. They are not going bankrupt tho.
Waited so long that integrated GPUs are not complete meme anymore. All the pro software I use works + all games I play.
The only reason for new (second hand
Because modern games are uniformly trash and crypto has another 4+ years left of bear market.
I bought a 3080 at the height of the GPU crises for 1100 bongbucks and now they're hardly worth 700.
>another 4+ years left on bear market
Care to elaborate your thought process there?
You're right, I should have clarified that the crypto space might never recover at all. Regulation and popular sentiment has permafucked the whole thing. It was nice while it lasted though. Was basically a money making machine for several years of my life.
1060 6gb runs all my half-decade+ year-old gaymes fine
My 980ti still just werks.
I almost can't remember that we had this exact same thread twice yesterday and three times the day before...

My 1050ti still works and ill keep using it untill it dies it plays all my games fine for now.
Literally none of them have AV1 encoding.
Most people on Any Forums really don't have a use for a powerful GPU it seems. A lot of them don't play video games or do 3D rendering, or much anything else that requires a lot of GPU processing power. A lot of them are just fine with an integrated lower-end GPU.
I don't have a PC.
I play quite a bit, but the games i like don't require anything better than a igpu
Hypothetically if it breaks today. What will you be buying?
My Haswell is at its limit with a 1080ti. So a new GPU means a new CPU and I don't even use my GPU much anymore besides some old games.
Maybe when I can pick up a 3080 for $100 used and pair it with some old dell equipment getting sold off at an auction.
