ummm i thought it just worked?

crts don't have this problem

except it's full of annoying bugs

I feel angry at gnome for forcing me to use that shitty file picker a lot of the time on applications where portal is not working yet

>thumbnail extension
where?
seriously, it's annoying to not have thumbnails

there isn't one

fucking hell when are they going to release that nautilus file portal they were talking about
i would think that phone usage was a good enough justification for gnome to finally stop tolerating gtk's bullshit

Needing 3rd parties to fix your shit = doesn't just work

>he doesnt know about the workaround yet
Nobody tell him.

It's still one of the more sane DEs out there, but Nautilus is a fucking crash fest and GVFS is broken as fuck. Also the file picker lol

>worst workspaces ux in the market
you're messing up, actually it is the best
the worst is used in microsoft windows

It's the worst because it misses the point of having workspaces.
Windows is ok in that front.

>It's the worst because it misses the point of having workspaces.
what point?
i never willingly used workspaces before trying gnome, and using them on anything else feels like using a 90s technology but in a bad sense

The point that each workspace is its own desktop, while Gnome sees all workspaces as part of a single desktop.
This is why they think the minimize button is evil, the dash and alt-tab is shared by default, workspaces have no names, etc.
Using workspaces on Cinnamon, KDE or even Windows is a much better experience than on Gnome.

>updates gnome
>extensions stop working

Works, but has no features.
