/b , I need some advice. My dad had bypass surgery, and a day after the surgery, he had a stroke, lost control of his right side and was slurring when he was talking. His wife, my stepmom, told me it didn't look good. So I rushed to the ICU, he recognized me. That night and I to the morning, I worked with him, moving right leg and right arm, talked to him constantly. 3 days goes by, he's able to stand on his feet and barely walk. Some progress. This gets him out of ICU and into recovery. 1 day goes by and they are ready for him to go to rehab. We get to rehab, he's able to walk around with help, it's more of a balance issue than strength issue as he's applying weight to his heels rather than heel and toe. Anyways, I tell his wife that his house is going to have to get ready for him coming home. I'm laying down options, because he's not going to be able to wipe his ass til his sternum heals in 2 to 3 months. She leaves. Has a mental breakdown that night, then the next day, tells my dad that she doesn't want me at rehab with my dad. I comply.
What should I do to this bitch?
TL;DR dad had a stroke, I spent 10 days getting him on his feet. Stepmom has mental breakdown, wants me away from him so I leave to not upset my dad's recovery. What do?
Addendum: I have this bitch on audio saying she can't do this, she can't help him and this is all too much for her to handle.

It's not that bad. It's not something most of us consider at all unless we have kids already, then the possibility of caring for elderly/ill parents crosses our minds for the first time. It's really not that bad, and it requires next to no training, just get a grip on your disgust for others what you do anyway. I took care of my mom for a few years at home with Alzheimer's. I never imagined I'd be helping mom in the shower but there I was one day with a wash cloth wrapped around a duster handle getting the stank off mom. I'm glad I was able to help, I guess.
