I suppose if nothing else it keeps me busy and burning calories. I've decided to go Hank Hill on my lawn this summer. Cutting up that overgrown shit that's all over my sidewalk, planting in bare spots, mowing more often, etc. Shit looks good. 95-100 degree midwestern high noon heat can fuck off though.
Big true especially if you got winter fat like I do I've been working out although. You try fertilizer yet? If its not the green the way you want its a big help after you just cut it. Had to get it cus my dogs had parvo which makes their piss literally stain the lawn.
Haven't needed it so far but growing in the shade is a bit of a bitch. Tried a special kind of seed that's supposed to grow in extreme sun OR shade but it doesn't work any better or worse. Probably just a gimmick.

Best part is my front lawn is completely dandelion free; pesky bastards they are. Now I have to focus my attention towards the back; it's overgrown, whilst simultaneously having a massive bald spot close to the house. Might end up busting out fertilizer for that.
