>leave home for 2 weeks, computer worked fine >come home >boot SSD suddenly seemingly dead >it's recognized in BIOS but the PC crashes to picrel and stays there if i try to boot into it >same thing happens if i try to boot into another drive while this SSD is connected >if the SSD isn't connected i can boot into another drive fine Anyone have any idea at all what the issue could be or if there's any way to fix this?
I never game anymore, so my 1060gb seems like a waste of energy. We've got some unused desktop PCs with super cheap graphics cards. I want to say it's like a Radeon 5450 or something like that. They have a displayport output.
If I pull one of those and swap it with my 1060, will it have enough power for 1440 and 144hz? The most intensive thing I'll be doing is watching videos.

What is Dithering on an e-reader? I see it as an option but can't tell what it is supposed to do.
A 5450 can't run your monitor at 144Hz. You need HDMI 1.4 or DP 1.3.

I should've prefaced with >Explain it to me like I'm retarded. Do I want it?

I installed 2 brand new HDDs on my Raspberry Pi and they work for 5 minutes until I get ls: reading directory 'folder': Input/output error, then works normally after I reboot the thing. What's going on?
How do I get GIMP to export layers as individual images? Some artists think it's a grand idea to package CG sets in .psd format. Strangely, Honeyview can open them but it only sees one layer.

It uses patches of checkered patterns to simulate more shades of grey than the display is capable of producing. Should only show up looking at pictures since most e-readers have enough resolution to not need AA.

Is dslreports.com/speedtest just fucked now? I get different errors in both the https and http versions of the site, and I get this little message: >Warnings: alien script detected But when I do their blank page test it shows nothing and I've scanned my computer for malware and viruses with absolutely no detections. What the fuck is making this site freak out? Is it just broken or is there something wrong on my end?

I believe the ones from the retired office PCs I'd be pulling it from are either an HD8490 or HD8570. They have displayport only, but can do 4k as we've hooked one up to a 4k tv before. Would that be able to do 1440p and 144hz then?
Josiah Adams
You can select the layers one at a time and Export As. I don't know a way to just have it shit out all layers as separate files.

I bought an Amazon Fire HD 10 11th gen tablet for $110. Its been out for 6 months, but still no root is available. i want to use it to control my home stuff. should i return it, or hold on to it until a root is available? its only $100. screen is okay
I just reset my network in W10 and suddenly my download speeds dropped from 90-100 to 20-30. My upload speed is unchanged. What the fuck did resetting do to tank my download speeds? How do I fix it?

Useless security theater.

I am trying to concatenate two WebMs with this command line: ffmpeg -i "concat:file1.webm|file2.webm" -c copy output.webm
but I'm getting this error: [matroska, webm @ 000001f7e427afc0] File extends beyond end of segment.24.0kbits/s speed=N/A [webm @ 000001f7e427e140] Non-monotonous DTS in output stream 0:0; previous: 3000, current: 0; changing to 3000. The output.webm is generated, but the video of the second file is a little fucked on the top.
