I can't post images, gifs and webms that I downloaded from Any Forums in the last few months because they now contain "embedded files".
How can I see what is embedded in them and how can I unembbed those files?

i found a solution to that by loading up such troublesome gifs using an old copy of Jasc Animation Shop and saving them out as new files, and then they upload without issue.

use ffmpeg for webms
ffmpeg -i somevideo.webm -map_metadata -1 output.webm

I think you need to add -c copy or it rencodes the video, it should be instant to "rencode" the video then.
