What kinda of technology did they use to protect film stock from the Van Allen radiation belt?

That doesn't make any sense.

Did you guys knew that the original master tapes containing the raw footage was erased by "accident"?
Ooopsie I guess.
We only have shitty broadcast footage of the most importance and extraordinary human achievement. ¯\_( ͜͡ʖ ͡)_/¯

Vintage technology, duh.

Why do zoomers think normal film is sensitive to radiation?
You can take film through X-Ray machines (at airports for example) no issues.
You can also store it for decades, the chemicals go a bit off but it's not affected by cosmic rays.

Retard, even normal earth's atmosphere can destroy film. That's why it's preserved in salt mines.

why doesn't it?
the van allen belt is a fixed spot on the Earth that never moves
you are not obligated to travel through it

Probably some shit half assed one that protected the film "just well enough".
That's basically the entire mission description, and why there were accidents and people almost getting murdered by the lunar dust

The question is not "can you go to moon?" is "can you go do to moon safely?" and it was a big fucking no, but they did it anyway.

>even normal earth's atmosphere can destroy film.
Yeah if exposed to a shitload of heat and humidity.
Aged film isn't unusable, it just fades somewhat.

earth is a farm
we are not allowed to leave
we are toys used and abused for the amusement of other intelligent lifeforms

They said they accidentally recorded over it

Oops sorry bros the intern filmed his BBQ party over the most important footage in the history of mankind supposedly documenting the greatest human accomplishment
More like they knew it wouldn't stand up to the scrutiny in the personal computer age

BTW they also said they lost all the blueprints every single one sorry u can't review em

the van allen belts arnt dense with radiation. its spread out far and wide. traveling through it isnt going to be constant exposure. minimal. cant protect against cosmic rays
