USA is NOT supposed to be "full democracy"; it was always intended to be (and is) a Republic supported by some elements of democracy.
"Full democracy" is mob rule, a republic is governed by laws (which may or may not be decided upon by "the people"). The USA is ruled by law (a republic) and those laws are decided upon by the people by way of direct vote, or by the representatives sent to congress on their behalf.
No system is without flaws of course, and at the moment, that flaw is "representatives" NOT representing their people at all, and/or the people being to shit-brained to vote for people that do and vote out those that don't.

It's interesting what the definition of "democracy" is for socialists who make infographics like this.
They have the UK as 8.1, but the US as 7.85, even though in the UK you're subject to arrest if you offend the wrong people on social media.
It doesn't have to be anything egregious either like "all niggers must die", something as harmelss as "there are only 2 genders" would be enough to get the cops attention.
That wouldn't happen in the US unless you were threatening some kind of specific act of violence.

The shit happening there is completely intended and the natural course for all democracies. That is the end state of democracy and why democracy is a failed governmental system. This is why the US government has become so flagrant in breaking the law, we once had a system combining a democracy with a oligarchy and a monarchy. Now the Senate is directly elected so it's more just a representative democracy that has a monarch.
