Brave
Same as the desktop.
Firefox + addons.
Chrome just works.
can it be installed from f-droid?
on the desktop i use librewolf, is there something like that for android?
Bromite
>ads ads ads
>no bottom toolbar
Kiwi + ubO extension
no adblock, so the ads work too :^)
>Kiwi
is that opensource?
Iceraven
There's mull too but I've not looked in to that yet.
And apparently Mulch? Dunno
install ffupdater from f-droid, its like a mini app store only for browsers like bromite and brave
Mull
Don't know. You can install ubO on it, that's all i care about
Kiwi is amazing however one thing to note is that they forcefully allow tracking from their partners (Microsoft/bing) even going so far as to disable add-ons like ublock from interfering with them.
A good work around is to use ublock origin from the edge store, or the beta version as these ones aren't hard coded to be handled in this way.
>best android web browser?
None. If they can't even make a good desktop browser, what makes you think they could do a good mobile one? Every thing on phones sucks.
>elaborate?
No.
>ffupdater
i want to try brave, which one do i download?
Source on kiwi forcefully allowing trackers from their partners: github.com
the first one of course
1) Install Firefox Nightly for Android play.google.com
2) Set gfx.webrender.all to true in about:config (force enables full gpu rendering, increases speed and battery life)
3) Install the uBlock Origin extension
4) Restart the app
does it have some telemetry to disable like the desktop firefox?
God dammit.
Whats the alternative browser with addon support?
Unironically, Edge.
There's no good chromium ones with add-on support, only Firefox ones.
If you really want chrome based with a ddons use kiwi with ublock origin beta. Best you can do
I recommend samsung internet with adguard.
You can install android debug bridge (adb) to remove chrome if you want to.
>samsung
kek
What? It's a decent browser. I don't even own a samsung.
