AMD Zen4 - As early as late September; 19-35% performance gains expected
V-cache Zen4 some time late this year. Likely same time as 13900k.
Some RX 7000, RTX 4080 - Soon after Zen4
RTX 4060/4050, RX 7500 - likely not until H2 2023
Intel will likely remain the best option for poor people unless Zen4 comes to AM4

>1 GCD
WoW won FFXIV lost

Will a single 1080 Ti with 11GB RAM perform better than my dual 980s in SLi in this setup? Trying to milk this rig for a few more years.

>SLi
didn't everyone stop trying to make this work

>his pc doesn't have oGCDs

in terms of raw computing power they're about equal but the 1080ti doesn't have the latency of SLi so stomps it

I had some reccomendations for powersupply.

any other tips? I could wait till October for the new series of vid cards.

using a 1050 ti

any advice for audio? I know m-audio makes a decent external sound card.

Will a Noctua 3080 fit in a Fractal Torrent Nano?

I managed to remove the stripped screw using retard amount of strength and a flathead screw driver.
Problem is some metal shavings went everywhere, realistically, does this create a risk ?

Do not be fooled by gamer/Western audio external sound card memes. Apple dongle or CX31993 are ultra-budget options which are adequate for 80% of users who are not audiophile obsessed. Stepping up to ChiFi like Tempotec gets you near endgame DAC at an incredibly low price point for the performance

>using a 1050 ti
literally anything would be better

also cpu was not installed, socket is AM4

if you can see any with your naked eye then blow it away with compressed air or your breath, careful not to spit.

well I mean its the idea of spending $1000 on a vid card now. perhaps I can sell it and get newest stuff. not sure what to do.

I used compressed air at an angle but it makes me paranoid, I think I will send the board back to the seller saying it doesn't fit in my case... asshole move but I don't want to risk my cpu...

So my window is not booting when I switching from CSM to UEFI, if i change back to CSM mode then its boot just fine, anyone can help? Also i want to enable that AMD smart access memory thing but i only see the above 4g decode on the BIOS but no resize bar option
Ryzen 3600+ MSI B450 tomahawk and 6600xt
BIOS 7C02v1E
AMD AGESA ComboAm4PI 1.0.0.6

literally just turn the board upside down and gently shake it. anything in the am4 cpu socket holes will fall out. keep in mind that not every cpu pin is even used, they are redundant or ground pins.

old windows install? chances are its formatted for bios/old boot table vs uefi/new boot table. the easiest fix is just reinstall windows unless you want to pull your hair out editing files.

I check my disk but it already in GPT format with EFI system partition, do i really need to reinstall window? it will take a lot of times to redownload all the drivers and apps and games ;_;

go ask windows general for more help. this is pc building general not windows help general.

yes, and newest games no longer support it and forcing it does weird rendering.
thanks

I plan on running a 12400f and I want the kraken aio for memes, but it's a very expensive meme. Can anons suggest some alternative in case I decide to get something else?
Pic related is more or less my setup, besides only 2 side mounted fans and my gpu will be upright
