Some RX 7000, RTX 4080 - Soon after Zen4
RTX 4060/4050, RX 7500 - likely not until H2 2023

How do I know which side of the power plug is positive and which side is negative? There's a little arrow on one of the slots, is that the positive one?

The case I picked (Lian Li Lancool II Mesh, pic related) comes with 3x120mm fans that all fit in the front. Would an additional fan in the back provide enough exhaust? If so, which one would be ideal?

I went to a garage sale by me and found an incomplete computer. The hardware look relatively new-ish and according to the person, it all worked before it got replaced by a newer PC. I paid $40 for it. So far I've found it has
>i7-7700k
>Asus Z270 motherboard (not sure exact model)
>8GB DDR4 (The RAM says it's a 2x4GB 2800MHz kit)

Case is trash, power supply is some nameless Chinese unit. I was only able to boot the PC long enough to get into BIOS and see some stuff because it has no cooler, so I shut it down ASAP. Is this worth building on for a budget 1080p PC?

i just bought a new GPU and it WON'T FIT IN MY FUCKING CASE

Attached: e68.jpg (665x662, 184.37K)

what GPU and case? I had a Lian Li 011 (not the XL) and an RTX 3080 FTW3. The card fit length wise, but the non standard PCB was so wide, the plugs were literally pressing up against the glass of the side panel.

The Polarity doesn't matter for the power or reset switches. Only for the LEDs matter for that.

is this ssd worth it for a b550m motherboard? what is the difference between this and the se version?

Looks fine for $40, you could slap some used cheap GPU and it's fine for budget 1080p gaming.

bust out the dremel and make that bitch fit

i just hit you in the fucking nuts
thats what you get for being a linux cuck.

Silverstone RV02 (legit one of the biggest cases out there), and an RX 6900 XT. Luckily the giant fans at the bottom come out very easily, so I was able to make space.

hahaaaaa dumb nigga kys thats what you get for not doing your measurements before buying

Bretty good all things considered. Yeah it fits the definition of budget 1080p paired with a reasonable GPU. Most 2010s games will run good. Intensive maxed will struggle to maintain 30fps, but middle ground should give playable fps even with new stuff

That sucks user. Every now and then it is a gamble and components just don't fit because of some incompatibility you didn't foresee. Do the case panels just not provide enough clearance?

I'm upgrading the RAM to 16GB, adding an SSD, and I found a Dell OEM 6GB GTX 1060 for $85 on eBay. The guy accepted my best offer. I was going to play on the same TV my PS4 slim is connected to, but my friend insists that a proper high refresh monitor is worth the investment. What do you think?

Funny how you'd be banned if those were real girls, but if you're a weirdo with child size dolls it's fine. Amercians are Fucked. Up.

>Luckily the giant fans at the bottom come out very easily, so I was able to make space.
it's a shame that the case is dog shit without the fans. Those high pressure 180mm fans make or break Silverstone cases.

All good choices. 1060 is a little underpowered imo, but it depends on how recent your game catelogue is and what your expectations for. Again, for your reference of budget 1080p, I'd say you're on track and being cost-efficient

>Would an additional fan in the back provide enough exhaust
Probably?

I'm playing stuff like Apex Legends, the Dark Souls titles, etc. I'm willing to knock settings down to a mix of medium/low if need be to keep 60fps

rage and seethe.
probably illegal to possess in your shithole.
Catdolls are absolutely based. I cant go back to “little sister” onaholes

>high refresh monitor
No, not with your intentions of a budget gaming build. If you're not fully utililizing 144hz or beyond, there's no point getting it. Be happy with TV output, it's fine. If you were a competitive FPS gamer I assume you'd already have splurged on the GPU, etc and that would call for a better monitor
