Thinking about buying a gun for the first time in my life. I've shot sig sauer p226 at the range before and it seemed fine. Any recommendations?

What’s it for? If you just wanna handgun for self-defense I’d say the best thing to do is go back to the shooting range asked to rent a couple different things maybe like a Glock, Beretta, Sig, HK whatever and just see what you like dude

Go to your local shooting range where they let u rent out different guns they have. Try shooting the ones you like and pick the one that feel right in your hands and you can be accurate with it. You'll know if one gun has more recoil than the other in your hands. Pretty easy to spot.

I carry a Glock 23. I have an Oregon CCL and a Utah CCL. We are constitutional in carry in Utah though so no permit required. In Utah everybody has guns.
