talk to your doctor or whatever and say you'd like one, if they believe it'll help you and your condition i'm sure they'd find a way to accommodate you. assuming you aren't a threat to yourself and others and you'll grab the scissors or something.. they may not even allow you to have a hair tie or bobby pins. i wouldn't be surprised if in some wards you're not allowed to have hair long enough to wrap around your own neck or something.

honestly whenever i'm in a little crisis or i'm just sick of my hair being in my face or looking gross, i just grab the buzzer and shave it.. it dries faster when i get out of the shower, isn't in my face and i can i pretend i'm Russel Crowe from Gladiator. don't care if you're a female.. just buzz it, baby. you'll feel better. just put a guard on there.. no guard buzz could make you look crazier like Brittany Spears.

Well I'm glad, my hair is basically wavy and thick. So yeah it needs lots of maintenance to keep its volume and texture, I sometimes do a ponytail with it though which makes it more manageable. I just don't want it to look gross and dirty.
