King is made by birth which I doubt you are. So you can't rule over a kingdom.
But let's say you want to be dictator of a country. Dictators have absolute power in an authoritarian regime with full control over army/police.
You need to be a good rhetoric, talk to masses and convince people. But no one in today's world except some isolated parts like north Korea will ever tolerate a dictatorship. You'd have to find millions of obedient people.
