Why can't they add C/C++ support? lsp-mode doesn't even work with C++ without spending a whole day trying to configure it and giving up just to install visual studio.

GNU (and the FSF) hate Unix. They want to EEE (embrace, extend, extinguish) Unix.
C is a subset of Unix, so of course they want to kill C too.
If you want good C support, use a real Unix like FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, DragonFlyBSD, or an OpenSolaris derivative.

Uh... then what is GNU going to replace C with?

Meds?

Lisp, or GNU C.

I think that is just LSP sucking.
I didn't struggle to set up clangd more than any other language server, I just opened s C file and asked LSP to install clangd.
That being said clangd kind of sucks ass and crashes often, so maybe there are better options that don't work as well.

what are you talking about, it can open and edit C code just fine

>Uh... then what are freetards going to replace (x) with?

Anyway, Javascript, Python, Rust.

Eglot just works with at least ccls and clangd, and it's also part of the GNU ELPA. Maybe try that one instead.
