People like to talk about upgradability, but SoCs have faster ram by default and they are a great way of future-proofing

It’s not built in, they use some hardware features like TSO and FAZ/DAZ flags, but other ARM CPUs can use these features, too. They are just fairly recent additions to the ARM standards, so most CPUs do not have them yet. There are also some few not-yet standard additions, but that doesn’t mean other ARM CPUs cannot built something similar already.

So let's hope it becomes the standard then
