Why is it one has to be given away for free and still has no users while the other has over a billion users and is worth over $3,000,000,000,000?

Most people will never use any operating systems that don't already come pre-installed on their PCs and I can't find any prebuilts in the US, while macOS has an entire army of prebuilts in stores all over.

There are Linux prebuilts, but you have to seek them out, i.e. bestbuy and other normie tech stores don't carry them. Also, the pricing is still retarded as if you're paying for an OS.

time =

Also US licensing laws... The shit multiplied by itself.

>people

because people are retarded that's why

Because people would rather pay through the nose for a fleeting, empty comfort instead of gathering up the courage to take the right road.

Companies invested more money into Linux development than amerimutts will ever spend on crapple produce in next 200 years

Free as in freedom, you are allowed to sell it if you want.
>and still has no users
It has more users than anything ever.
>while the other has over a billion users and is worth over $3,000,000,000,000?
Why would you mention one individual company's net worth when there's no reference point? Linux is used everywhere while most people would never even notice if MacOS disappeared forever. There's just no central point of it all in Linux that harvests all the money up their nose. Also who cares about how much money does a company make anyway? Are you getting some of it for yourself or what? They swim in money and still cut corners everywhere so at least the end users aren't getting any benefits.

>this is what freetards actually believe

reminder that I have more money than you because you already spent yours on a toy that will break in few years

Linux isn’t free, you pay with your time

which is worthless because you're spending it on Any Forums anyway

Depends on your use-case. Sometimes you get more time back because you're working with something well-documented that gives you actionable feedback (And not just a "Something has gone wrong" message).
You also acquire a moderate amount of computer literacy rather quickly, whereas macfags don't know what a folder is.

Where is macos free?

If you're low IQ it takes more time, but then it's also probable that your time isn't very valuable. So the time argument should be done by checking how fast can the high IQ veteran users get things done. If everything is blazing fast for them it's a good operating system.

I get things done so fast nowadays that it can't even be timed
>sudo pacman -Syu && poweroff

>Also, the pricing is still retarded as if you're paying for an OS.
ITT: mactoddlers demonstrate that they don't understand economies of scale.

Guess what OS Apple uses to run their cloud services and websites? Lmfao. Poor Jay. Don't you ever get tired of getting eternally BTFO in every one of these shit bait threads that you have to bump 275 times off of page 10 just to get 20 (you)s?
