It's C octothorp.

this gx woman is based

C tic-tac-toe

Because # = sharp notes on sheet music.
>why did they reference sheet music?
Hell if I know, the best explanation was "it sounded better than C hashtag or C pound symbol". Why the hell would you even bother with the name C# at that point?

I get that they picked # because it looks like 4 pluses stacked in a 4x4 grid, making C# technically C++++ actually, the incrementation of C++, but here's the thing: C++ and C# are pretty much nothing alike and this is still retarded.

Because it's for sharp minds. The same way Go is for Go-Getters.

And why doesn't C-- exist?

C-pound was just too lewd

It's called Javascript

it does though

Holy C is the only good language mentioned here

Ce płotek

The symbol is a hash. Hashtags are tags that are made using a hash.

Co się tak podjarałeś? To i tak nie kobieta.

so it should be C hash then instead of sharp

For me it's Cb
Pronounced C flat

Our teacher called Java C++--.

"Sharp" is a semi-tone increase in musical notation.
It's similar to the notion of ++ as an increment, but distinct enough to give C# it's own identity.
It's a clever name if you ask me.

I didn't know Sciamano240 made drawings of girls with clothes on

It's called Rust
