Best motherboard for $200-$300?

Did you know PC building is going to die soon?

2 more weeks

Do i blame itoddlers again?

Yes.

my dad is the CEO of computers and can confirm this

I also heard that the desktop is going to die off soon too.

not for long he aint

Your dad is tim apple?

has been dead for many years.
>dude just spend $9001 for a basic-bitch WhyZen 69 system with performance comparable to a beat up optiplex from 2011
i want to go back to the 00s when normalfag PCs weren't all proprietary SFFs

I am planning to buy the parts listed and use the rx 470 I currently have while 6600 XT gets closer to 300 eur mark. Pic related are cheaper than pcpartpicker deals right now on baguette Amazon i would like to buy. Not sure on case yet. Anything to change? 1080p gaming/browsing dekstop.

Oh, that's bad news because that's not going to be enough to game or browse.

Why dont motherboards have multiple HDMI ports anymore?
All the ones im looking at only have 1 hdmi and 1 DP, fucking frustrating
my like 7 year old desktop has 4 hdmi ports and 2 display ports
What gives?

Oops, my bad i didn't know you had an CPU as well.
Should be good enough.

>3 holes
>4 pins
huh

We recently went over this a few threads ago.

There was also sales on the x570 aorus master ecently that put it under $300 but they seem to largely be sold out now.
The X570S Aorus Master replaced the older one but it's $310.
MSI MAG Tomahawk is normally $170 and $155 now. It's better than a lot of $200+ boards. It is the cheapest board with dual ethernet, lots of i/o, and pretty good DRM and BIOS. But I think it lacks USB-C.

The next step up from that would be the MSI MPG X570S EDGE/CARBON MAX WIFI which are largely the same board.

Those are fine choices and good prices, yes.

Licensing cost. HDMI is proprietary bullshit.
Displayport is better now days anyway. Proprietary bullshit like Nvidia shills always loses.

There really isn't any point in waiting for GPU prices to drop right? Because the inflation seems to be faster anyway.

Just two (2!) weeks ago, for the same price as pic related total price, I could get the same SSD but with 2 TB + better case /or/ the 1 TB SSD and a 3060ti GPU. Now I gotta do this to get under my 1500 EUR budget. Shit is laterally fucked.

But to be fair, the GPU price did drop by

>1 euro

Nothing outside of pc monitors use display ports though. It's a serious bottleneck for my usecase.

There is displayport over usb-c getting wider adoption. Does that not worth for you?

>Because the inflation seems to be faster anyway.
Yes,
400 euro now is like 300 euros back when the 6600xt and 3060 came out due to the value of the euro dropping and inflation increasing.
wait what? No it doesn't happen that fast.
Why didn't you get the 3060ti for 425 euro 2 weeks ago if you could? a 3060 for that price is pretty bad.

hey bros i'm moving my 5600x build to an ITX case so got a mobo/case and a few other things to sell
would it be retarded to buy a 5800x3D and sell my 5600x while it still has some value? i use a 1440p/165hz monitor and mostly play Apex, Warzone and other "competitive" shooters with my friends ...does i make a difference at 1440p or is it mostly for 1080p uses?
im using 32016cl ddr4 32gb ram if that helps
