This. Every major release, MS ratchet up the configuration annoyances required to make Windows Server work like its desktop counterparts.
It was basically zero until 2k3.
Then 2k3 wanted you to turn a huge pile of services on and reconfigure the video driver.
Then 2k8 [R2] required registry-level changes and importing files from a real Vista/7 install to make things like Bluetooth work.
I haven't bothered trying it out even in a VM for lulz since.
