You do own one, right? You ARE a tech enthusiast, right? And you WANT to be at the forefront of new technology, right? Or are you like lispfags and systemd schizos, eternally stuck back in time, keeping your sweaty little fist in pocket?

I got one of those $10 ones from Target where you slide your phone in and used it for porn for a little while

Own what?

That shit is cringe ass and nay nay baby.

I just ordered a Reverb G2, it seemed to be a good option for sims, I guess we'll see, I never tried VR before

does it even have gf simulator?
no pervert shit, just gentle cuddling

i've used one
superhot and alyx were the only games that actually felt like games and not just cashgrab gimmicks. there were some cool 3d vids i saw though, like Julis Horsthuis fractal vids
nothing i'd spend 1k on myself though

how was it?

The novelty wore off after like 30 minutes

We hate technology here. Our dream is to be able to code in abacus someday.

I like Lisp and own a Quest 2, check and mate.

best vr headset in market is 300 dollar.

Never try one of those, but could it work as an improvement to work?

This sitting on a desk with an actual keyboard but with that thing on my head, checking how I move my head and displaying screens (or whatever) in a convenient way?

if you end up enjoying it you should invest in the index controllers, they work out the box with the reverb and are way better than the controllers that come with it

you just gotta look harder for good games. check out echo vr or hellsplit arena and see if those interest you

No to all of those

>forefront of new technology
are you from the year 2019? this shit is dying, slowtard.

no AAA game devs are touching VR with a shitty stick, there's literally nothing out for it.
why do you think that is?

How do you figure it's dying? Just curious.

its at least partly because AAA studios are creatively bankrupt and cant think of a way to adapt their goto game models to VR. It's hard enough for indie devs who aren't saddled with huge overheads to make a VR game that actually has a legitimately gameplay feature to justify making it in VR without it feeling like a total lazy gimmick, or overstaying its welcome after like 1/4 way through the game

I'd guess install base. What do you think?

VR will never be anything more than a fad

i'm waiting for the new valve headset
maybe

is there any other use for those besides having anime sex talk with the bros in VR chat?

a game made for VR needs to be pretty much ground up made for VR, and VR has a tiny userbase. AAA studios/games have huge fixed costs and probably cant justify making (or adapting an existing) game for that small userbase
I don't think this is the only reason though

>3.5 megapixels per eye
>less than GT 1030 equivalent graphics performance so anti-aliasing quality is dogshit
lolno
