It was fine. WinMX looked cooler.

I pirated Limewire Pro with Limewire and downloaded songs. I had lite cable by then which was barely faster than dial up.
Don't miss the days where downloading anime took a week per season.
Josiah Long
>mp3s labeled wrong
>videos labeled wrong
>like 15 videos with different titles are actually just an episode of Southpark called "Cherokee Hair Tampons"
>fill mp3 player with hours of downloaded music
>download cracked XP games
>now I am the coolest 7th grader because I have every System of a Down song and Carmageddon 3
Pretty much that.
Sebastian Myers
Never used it. I grew up on boerse and rapidshare.
Nolan Lopez
DarkMX still rocks over tor.
Blake Cooper
cp, never ending stream of cp even if you don't look for it.
Levi Moore
I heard about it in a weird al song
my parents didn't let me use the family computer until it was dead and gone

OH BAYBUH BAYBUH

Pretty shit, honestly, there were better alternatives to connect to the gnutella network. And since I was already using loonix, it was gtk-gnutella for me. Eventually replaced it with emule and the with torrents
Isaac Gonzalez
used it for a few years, downloaded lots of music, a few movies, some anime, and some games with it, at least what i could over dial up
first step with a new install of limewire basic was to use it to download a pirated copy of limewire pro
anything you download had a 30% chance of being CP, no matter what you're looking for
Brody Robinson
looks interesting, but where's the sources?
Christian Jenkins
>Be like 13 and puperty is in full swing
>Downloading porn form Limewire
>Some of it is CP
>Fap to it because she's the same age as me and I finally get to live out my fantasy of banging my crush
Good times. Thinking back to it now it's insane how "open" pedophilia was.
Daniel Harris
Limewire was faster than eMule but somehow had even more fake and mislabeled stuff
Brayden Hernandez
You mean all the trouble with emu taking a vicious dump?

>anything you download had a 30% chance of being CP
not true, there was a lot of viruses though

i used it a few times, but it was pure shit. quality from good to terrible. all x86 executables were unsafe. also, i was able to discover via court documents around a decade ago that america's fbi were sharing real child porn on limewire just to see who would download it, then they would contact police in whatever country that ip address is coming from. australian police thought this was a great idea as well and did the same thing. the people sworn to protect children exploiting them to catch pedos. your tax dollars hard at work.
Nathaniel Gonzalez
bill clinton constantly reminding me he did not have sexual relations with that woman
Jaxon Gonzalez
>anything you download had a 30% chance of being CP, no matter what you're looking for
that's a fucking lie. you had to literally type in search terms for that. so.. 30% chance you're actually a pedo searching for that material. do you think we're fucking stupid, zoomy? get the fuck outta here, dumbass.
Jaxon Martin
They still do it today, but on a larger scale, such as hosting the internet's largest CP forum which was home to actual CP producers: vg.no
Carter White
well it might be a bit exaggerated, but i certainly got a bunch of it despite rarely looking for porn at all since i was still a kid when i was using limewire
Benjamin Gomez
>two decades later
>admit to downloading cp
>on a website known to be monitored by feds
>get arrested
I hope you're behind 7 proxies, mate.
Asher Barnes
for legal reasons that story is a fabrication
Jayden Howard
it was great. back in the good ole days we didn't have to depend on centralized websites staying online to get our content.
i just wish someone would make a C port of it and do the UI in gtk or flutter.
go check out the wireshare code. it's the continuation of LM.
