How to secure ?

How the FUCK do i secure a win10 computer? My mom forgot her pass last night and i removed her win pass in 10 min with some crap software from google. That made me realize that anybody can do the same to my PC, i also have a Bios pass, but that is garbage too because if you remove the battery it gets removed.
So how the fuck can i secure my PC ? Encrypting the entire hard drive is a big no no because it's going to murder my FPS in video games

Which glowie told you that nonsense?

what software did you use user.

You have bigger things to worry about, if people are in your house

nobody, but im running an old dual core shit laptop that barely runs games as is ... adding another step in the way like decrypting files 24/7 is sure to fuck up everything. Even filling the HDD over 60% had an impact on games fps.

isn't this that OS where you start with nothing and have to build it up yourself? I don't need this in my life atm ... imagine getting this to the point where i can play games that barely run on win10

then use manjaro or endeavour i guess.
I'm sure you'll get filtered even by those, judging by the quality of (you)r thread.

Back to the point : How do i secure my system against glowing midgets ... so they won't copy midget porn on my pc while im at work ?!

The only way to do that is to encrypt your midget porn, either use full disk encryption (heavily reconmmended) or encrypt the individual files you want to protect

Listen furry ... my problem is not securing my files. My problem is preventing forest knomes from adding shit i have nothing to do with into my system.

sneed

Source on wallpaper?

>DDR2
kek, maybe try a modern computer with CPU encryption instructions

So leaving Linux out, is there no way to secure a Windows system? I remember when i was young at the internet cafe's they had some software that locked everything down. Custom logon screen with password, then the entire system was locked, only a custom menu with very restricted options, just the games, internet, music etc. So there has to be something out there.

something to take my big (security) load

>5-20% loss
geez, so my nvme with 6,000 mb/s datatransfer will now run at 5,700 mb/s, what will i do?

>ome software that locked everything down. Custom logon screen with password, then the entire system was locked, only a custom menu with very restricted options, just the games, internet, music etc.
it's called group policy
if you run an enterprise SKU you can also use applocker
but you should start with full disk encryption first retard

I don't have that luxury, i think my HDD sits at around 50-100 mb/s

Then get a new one poorfag

finally, something useful, please continue class clown, you have my attention

>i think my HDD
do americans really?
i don't even use hdds for storing data anymore, it's nvme for OS, sata3 ssd for anime and games

i like retards who talk about stuff they have 0 info about. How come none of you said that i need more RAM because the encryption sits and happens in RAM then it';s written normally on drive
The guy with the HDD/SDD speed gtfo, go to furry convention

there is no way to secure a system that someone has physical access to
if that "someone" really wants to break in, you can't secure it, the most you can do is put up a bunch of annoying barriers that this "someone" will deem it not worth the effort to break past them

>you have my attention
1. install windows 10 iot ltsc 2021 (make ei.cfg)
2. use ms docs to disable botnet in group policy: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/privacy/manage-connections-from-windows-operating-system-components-to-microsoft-services
3. re-enable ms store and winget (package manager) with "wsreset -i" in root powershell (type once, wait 20s, type again)
4. install essential software with winget like notepad++, firefox esr
5. install enterprise group policies for firefox github.com/mozilla/policy-templates/releases (.admx + en_US --> c:\windows\policy definitions) then disable botnet in group policy
6. install ublock origin for firefox esr, enable all filters, enable medium mode and disable js by default
7. enable full disk encryption with bitlocker
8. have sex
>How come none of you said that i need more RAM
what, you don't have 32gbs of ddr4 of ram in 2022?
do americans really?

encrypting your files prevents that, dumbass
