Is it still 2009?

we have no home please let us stay we'll be nice
also Any Forums has no jannies or mods so we got overrun by spam

wheres the technology?

Guitar progression is very slow user
The last big thing invented for guitars specifically was the floyd rose and that was like 40 years ago

Those sweet sounding p90s

The pickups, pots and switch.

the pickups, the electronics, the engineering of the design, all of it
where isn't there technology?

The pickups and wiring harness
Fuck off fag

anyone know a good resource for building your own pedals? i heard they were super easy to make and home and the pedal industry is basically snake oil

>tfw no time to learn guitar
it's over

If it was up your ass you'd know

for me it's guitarra Condor™ CLP2-2T in vintage sunburst finish

Don't forget to report him so the jannies come and keep an eye on the thread bros
Any Forums mods are no joke so we actually have a shot here

do you not know how an amp is built? do you know know what going into making pedals? do you now know that the majority of effects today are all digital? do you not know that the majority of all things related to the electric guitar are technology?
god you're an insufferable faggot. go back to your "what linux distro should i get" threads

Just find 15 minutes a day user

I just practiced in 15 minutes. It's incredible how much you improve in that short amount of time.

I’m gonna post my amp for credibility.

use a metronome (or better yet a drum track) and you'll improve even more. the metronome is the secret weapon everyone avoids for some reason

what wattage? what kind of tubes? how did you start building it? how long did it take?

practice while watching anime
every moment spent practicing, even if passively, is valuable!

Noice, care to walk us through your building decisions and process?

Does it matter if I make my own drum track?

If you have a spare raspi try out modep

Physical pedals are fun, but this let's you dick around for cheap.

You can even run it on a pi zero and build it into the guitar, but you have to install the regular kernel, it won't run with rt kernel. Still there's fuckall delay.

I always wanted one of those little thunder pickups with built in octave drop.

This legit sounds better.

Yes it is all snake oil. Just google whichever pedal layout or schematic, fuzzes are very simple.

Look up name of the pedal you like + DIY and you will likely find it.

Also:

i want a good overdrive but feel like paying 100+ bucks (plus inflation, plus tip) for it when i can make one at home for 20 bucks in parts
what's a good starter pedal to start with?

Around 15 watts push pull with 6v6’s. Now it runs with 3 12ax7’s and two 6F6’s, which are lower output. I checked the internet for schematics and layout shots of the original. About 3 weeks on and off.

The coil of wire around refrigerator magnets and a couple rheostats.

Ts808 clone. I built a bunch of them in HS and sold them to local bands.

is any real electronics knowleadge needed or is it just following instructions?

It's really old design, you can build it with all thru hole components on a breadboard and probably find a chink kit on ebay.

It's pretty simple.

wasn't the Any Forums janny supposed to ban me? what happened

Attached: 1644012019563.jpg (500x500, 27.28K)

Well this was my first build, so I was extra careful not to mess it up. I decided I wanted a trainwreck express, so I went and built it. There was thorough testing at the end. I needed to simulate a center tap for the heaters with two 100R resistors to ground, but otherwise didn’t run into any serious issues.

cool i think i'm gonna give it a try. isn't that how JHS got his start? just making his own pedals like that for fun?

so as long as you can solder decently well is that all there is? just meticulously following instructions and soldering things together?
i have zero electronics background but always thought it'd be cool to make my own gear. pedals, an amp, i even want to make my own guitar one day
