shit tier stocks here, cant even find a 6500xt for less than 270 (then, used rx 580 still @300, only if the one buying can buy used)

Tell me why I shouldn't get 4x16 gigs of ram when it's only about $80 more than the equivalent 4x8 set with all the same stats (cl16 3.2ghz dual rank)

What's a good Discord to join if I want to be pinged when Best Buy gets a 3080 drop?

I guess if you're not playing anything too new or intense or you don't mind lower resolution / quality then it should be fine, but in your situation you might want to wait until the new GPU announcements in a few months because prices will likely drop in anticipation to clear out old stock

I have 32 and that's only because I use chrome and like having a billion tabs open. 16 is honestly enough probably.

stockdrops is decent for EU
telegram is a little bit faster, but hey

I assume stockdrops is also decent for NA but I haven't personally tried it

Is a 128gb nvme enough just to install windows and some basic software (browser, steam, spotify) ?

Yes, but unless you get it for free, it's not worth buying because a 500GB or 1TB drive will have a better price/GB. Also the endurance on a tiny drive like that will be low, so if you're constantly writing and rewriting to it, it'll wear out fast

Help?

just buy 512gb or 1tb. anything lower than that uses bottom tier flash which has lower read/write speeds.

>is worth to switch to ddr5 ram?
No, although you might want to buy faster DDR4 if your old RAM is 2400MHz. (I.e., sell or gift your entire previous platform as a bundle)

no
DDR5 is a ripoff atm

I would go 256 BARE MINIMUM

My old ram is ddr4 2133MHz.
Some z690 support that, if i have to buy faster ram i just get ddr5 instead.

Bought the deal of an r5 5600x for $175

Did I fuck up?

a 1 TB MP33 is like $70 right now, I wouldn't even entertain a 128gb drive in 2022 Even if it was a Samsung and like $10 because the slot it takes up is far more valuable

not really, I wouldn't expect the street price of Zen 3 to drop by more than 20% until Zen 4 chips actually hit shelves which May or may not be soon. not a bad deal as far as I'm concerned.

>Some z690 support that
They all do. I guess waste your money on DDR5. Equivalent RAM will cost you 4x as much for no performance benefit

>asking after the fact
I would have bought the i5 12400F, but a 5600X is similar

I have an and motherboard so I'm not just gonna move over to Intel

Guess i will wait some time untile 13th gen come out so the 12th gen will cost less

Or should i choose to upgrade to 10th gen instead?
