Because it's perfect.

>she hasn't heard of Datalog

there is mongo(l)db what is especially popular with nu-devs

What about nosql ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/NoSQL

Datalog in EDN (datomic and the bunch) is better

For the most part, changes would be syntax/cosmetic. Just a different t way of typing the same thing. And SQL is old, people know it and all the kinks have been worked out. Lindy technology.
This is unless you want to go all the way and do something like Datalog

Relational databases are the only thing complicated enough to need a querying language. Unless you count Regex for text stores.

Just do it on access.

Isn't it funny how the first thing leftists, soicucks, and feminists do when cornered is strike out at your masculinity, which they believe is toxic and proudly state should be eradicated from society? It's almost like they don't even believe their own bullshit.

Since this is a database thread :
If you have a MySQL server running on your PC and a service that communicates with it on the same machine, you send your packets at the localhost address.
But does it simply sends them to the DB with something like a socket ?

yes

So it would be simpler to just use SQLite if nobody else is running the same service except me, right ?

>your masculinity
Masculine men don't post on 4weebs.

On Unix, you can connect to the mysqld server by using two different ways
>a Unix socket file
(for example, /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock)

or by using TCP/IP
(for example, 127.0.0.1:3306).

A connection that is created with a Unix socket file is faster than TCP/IP but can only be used when connecting to a server on the same computer. When you use a Unix socket file, you can skip a hostname and port in the connection string.

socket is whats used for network traffic

Old school, pre-dotNET ASP with Access is peak comfy web development.

>complicated
Nigger, they need a search language because they are LARGE not complicated.

By Unix socket you are talking about Berkeley sockets? I learnt about but I never used it and forgot about it completely.
So when you are sending your data to the hostname with TCP/IP, you are still routing your data, but not when you use a Unix socket.
