Doesn't matter, your distro has already been infected

>my distro
Lmao I use windows 10 and nothing else. I just find it funny the guy behind systemd has bailed.

They lost a good man, but Red Hat will carry on somehow. Stay strong rh bros.

Why didnt anybody tell me i coukd install systemd boot just by typing bootctl install?
Im pissed now. I hate grub. Grub is always some bullshit.

Don't worry bros, LP's still got us covered

>Update (18:00 5 July):Title updated and I've now confirmed from additional sources that Lennart Poettering did indeed quietly depart Red Hat earlier this year for another employment opportunity. He is now employed by another major organization continuing his work on systemd.

Too late. Microsoft is building Systemd into WSL as we speak. In a few years they'll drop NT and rebuild Windows as a DE for Linux. Why would you pay millions a year to maintain a kernel nobody really cares about when you can make the community do it for free? Throw a pizza at the WINE devs every month or two and they'll build the compatibility layer themselves.

>In a few years they'll drop NT and rebuild Windows as a DE for Linux.
Source on the ridiculous claim?

won't stop red hat software being malicious shitware

They will do nothing of the sort - the Linux kernel is a lumbering frankenstein while NT was well-designed for its era.

>Red Hat will carry on
My take is that they're already being crushed by IBM's bureaucracy.

>Poettering makes a public statement that systemd will not use Rust
>A couple weeks later he is out the door
Rust trannies are becoming too powerful
