I want Linux to be successful so that Microsoft is forced to improve Windows.

The biggest selling point of Windows is its (backwards) compatibility with software.
There's a limit to how much you can change without fucking that up.

You know when Linux distros are successful, Microsoft will treat Windows like Internet Explorer (no new features, no support for customers, just exists for legacy company applications). And just make own Linux distro and when someone is using Windows useragent on microsoft.com it will say "Support for Windows has been discontinued, malware and hackers can easily access, switch to the new MicroUX for more features and security updates and higher gaming performance"

There's nothing even remotely as good as windows. Tried Ubuntu, Debian and Arch. Had a Macfag computer. They all suck in comparison. The only handicap of windows is microsoft does not own and control the quality of the hardware like apple does with macs.

I hate every OS, but Linux is the least shitty of the bunch.
