If you need a quick and easy solution just buy ddr3 to usb connector. I use one myself and there aren't any drawbacks despite sacrificing one port.

what the fuck? there isn't a usb adaptor to plug in ram

ram adaptor to plug in usb

get in the future user

Sorry I meant sata-ddr3. You can then just combine usb-sata adaptor with sata-ddr3. If you want better speeds make sure to get usb-sata with two usbs. Unfortunately, only ddr3 is supported.

Its a easy upgrade just use a plastic card to pry the laptop open.

Get the ifixit picks to make opening easier after unscrewing it.
I believe you can put a 2.5 ssd in those as well....it could just be the pro
I have the 7 and opening it was a bitch but changing the parts was easy just be sure to disconnect the battery too for safety.

got a link to this? I'm curious

Can't you google it? Is that illegal in your country?

Just a quick search. Idk how to search in english though. Maybe look on amazon for similar model.

My does not have 2.5 just 2x m.2
The bios has an option to kill the battery for repair

thats for putting an extra m.2 ssd drive in a computer, not upgrading the ram itself.

You will need a hammer and blowtorch

Just undo the screws on the bottom and the entire bottom panel comes off giving you access to everything
I suggest adding a 2nd SSD and replacing the Realkek wifi card with an Intel one while you're in there

well uh, here's where my bait ends.

Don't forget to cut the red wire

How careful should I be with respect to static discharge?

Just bee yourself

Get a mat, normally I wouldn't say that but laptops are so fucking janky a anti static mat will reduce your stress
But it's good practice to always disconnect the battery physically before working on parts.

Any Forums - tech support

stick a wire into a power outlet to ground yourself

Always has been

Is now the right time to buy DDR4 RAMs? I've checked online it's -10% across all capacity. Not sure if we should wait for DDR 5 for this to bottomed out or just take this lame 10%.
