Is the 3060 Ti the most any sane person would need ?
Is the 3060 Ti the most any sane person would need ?
If you are running a legacy monitor sure
never buy the low-end of any gpu series (mid of series beats low of next, top of series beats mid of next, etc)
Isn't 3060 ti considered mid?
yes. it's barely weaker than a 3070. he's full of shit.
Sure.
t. 6700 XT
it's low+TI
If you own a 1080p monitor, sure. It struggles massively in the most demanding titles at 1440p though, especially once you turn ray tracing on. And needless to say it's a joke at 4K. The lowest end model from the next series of cards will likely match or beat it.
I can assure you that I am incredibly sane and can be trusted around firearms and harsh chemicals.
1080p? Yes. Even 3060 is enough.
1440p? Eh. Not enough memory. 8gb is struggling this gen. The newer games are starting to get to about 8GB on textures, especially in Capcom games etc. 10GB is the bare minimum now but 12GB is safer.
It's a good card for 1080p and if you don't mind fidelity loss, you can DLSS 1440p but Nvidia's retardation in making the 3060 12GB but not the 1440p cards makes them a mediocre choice.
My 1660 super I got for $200 in 2019 is all I need
I've a 2070 and money and literally 0 reasons to upgrade
for me its the 3070
I got a 1650 Super in 2020 for about the same, I second this for the majority of less-recent games
Only matching the consoles leaves you no headroom for when games start targeting 30fps. Ideally you would want something twice as powerful as the 3060ti to last you the gen. But because even the 3060ti is overpriced no sane person should consider buying anything.
>any sane person
But unfortunately I need to render 2-3 clips animated videogame porn a week to pay rent
it comes with vga+dvi jacks? nice because thats exactly what i need and i needed to upgrade my ancient eol gt9800
forgot pic of my legacy monitor that i run
what
you running that on a 3060ti? if yes which one? ops pic is the standard hdmi and dp
what
If it was cheap for sure.
this, my 3080 dips under 90 fps in gta5 at 1440p, the 3060ti probably dips under 60.
That would be 3080Ti.
I have an RTX 3060 and it's felt like enough for me. Especially for the price-point.
3060 for 300€ in europe when? I have a monitor that has freesync over HDMI (not 2.1) so it wouldn't work with that, but I don't care at this point.
rx 6700xt is faster and the same price
The 3060 has an MSRP of 350, so I guess you'll be waiting for the 4000 series to come out.
