The gas dissipated after many thousands of years, the worms all die or so she thinks and the universe goes back to haveing magical creatures again too but many just went extinct none left and new races cane about.
Yes she knows who did it it was one of my other characters 1000s of years before boki and was supposed to be the hero of that era for saving humanity but to many other races she was an evil that killed all magic, her names olia I have draws of her
The lone apple elf, boli, starts out trying to resurrect her race then takes a dark path to exterminate all human life and usher in a age of her race ruling over the universe but has a change if heart down the line and sacrifices herself to save all humanity from the space worms that return again and she actually gets rid of them for good that time

oooh gotcha! i love that character arc boli has. it's kinda bittersweet how she gets rid of the worms, but also sacrifices her own race... then again idk maybe she has 2 dozen kids by then

How hard would it be to turn an already written story into a 4 panel webcomic series? Kinda feels like you really need experience with the 4 panel flow and trying to translate something that doesn’t have that flow in mind while it was being written is going to get fucked up in the transition.

Yes she does have kids by then and she uses her dna n sone powers to resurrect her entire race
And there's a lil more to her
She's actually secretly one of suncats daughters too, but doesn't learn that until after she "dies" when she gets gassed and all her race n stuff and once again all the lower magic races gets wacked, a lot of her kids n race stays because they now have more powerful like God dna in them from suncat n boli but boli does pass on into like being with the suncats outside of the lores universe n just a omnipotent goddess of some sorts among many others

depends on the source material? it could be hard, especially when you're limiting yourself to 4-koma, but there are plenty of quality stories told in 4-koma so it's not impossible. sometime they'll break the 4-koma format for serious scenes too
you might have to rearrange some things though or change some of the source material if you're allowed. the adaption doesn't have to be 1:1 the same beat by story beat
it might be good to discuss it with a community that also likes the source material.
but im speaking as someone that's never adapted something like this so take my comment w a grain of salt please
