The designs were made by a single user early into the chaos and the board ran away with them. They were not part of the game's original design by the mods.

Mini got the pastel green color because mini eggs come in a variety of pastel colors (yellow, pink, blue), but the other colors got taken by the more distinctively-colored items (Peanut butter got a dark gold, because that's peanut butter's only color, same with chocolate and brown, so Peeps, which are normally bright yellow, got pink because yellow was basically already taken by peanut butter and pink is their second-most-popular color/flavor, and creme eggs got the beige/white color for the creme-centres because brown was already taken by chocolate), and pastel blue would blend into the background color too much, so pastel green was the next closest, and it was like okay good enough who even cares at that point
