It's mostly just how I've lived. Wasted my teen years jacking off and playing video games instead of learning how to be, y'know, a man.

It is for someone starting from 0, which is me. I need a general science with malleable application of knowledge, which is what cooking is. I can taste something and know it needs more acid, and there's always a thousand ways to do that.
Coding seems to be the polar opposite from my point of view. It's like only one thing can fix one thing, but fixing that one thing is going to break everything else and set off a chain reaction until you're just better off starting over. That is daunting to me.

That's why you take the boot camp, user. These classes were originally marketed towards corporate office employees, which is why they charge >$10,000 for what would be considered a relatively easy "3 hour" (per week) course at any university. Let me tell you something about corporate office people: they are largely dipshit boomers, an average college student stands out as a genius if he can remember anything or has problem solving skills, and every single corporate-paid-for class I've taken has been a complete joke for remedial learners.

Of my friends who took this course:
- Environmental science hippy chick: lives on Boston, makes six figures. (Her long term boyfriend/fiance/whatever is a freelance programmer, so maybe that helped?)
- Former cop: works remotely, makes more than her CS grad brother who has been in the industry for 8 years.
- Arab dude I knew from the cleanroom: I think he did chemistry in his home country or something. Moved up North, makes six figures.
- Chemistry major: took the course but got a promotion instead. Was getting plenty of interviews for high paying jobs, but decided he liked his very French company. (They start at 4 weeks vacation time.)
- Chemistry major's brother: has a CS degree, took the bootcamp, decided to get an easy-going job somewhere else instead. (???)

You can do it. It's just figuring out what you want the computer to do and then figuring out how to tell it to do that. If you want a taste, try a $15 "learn Python" online practice course. Python is super easy to read, fairly easy to learn, and the syntax enforces some good practices. (White space matters, so you have to do nice looking indenting and such.) There are definitely a bunch of Python jobs, but I think those are harder to say "hey look at this 3 month certificate, hire me" compared to JS. 70% of the interweb is JS, so everyone's desperate for web devs.

I'm currently teaching myself C#. Visual Studio is free (for home users).

The best everything are men. The only areas in which women (scum) excel are taking a dick and being a life support system for the child. After giving birth, they can be disposed of, the more brutal the disposal, the better.

That's the gayest thing I've heard all day. Women are just as fuckin sneaky as men. I'm happily married and my wife would even agree. Women are cunts. They are usually better with kids and being nice when they don't need to be, but that's just how female primates deal with spazzatic males. They're fully capable of and just as often duplicitous though. Don't lie to yourself and make sure to fuck your woman correct or she'll find it somewhere else and then figure out exactly what to say to make you feel bad about it. Look at will smith. you're judging men to be lacking at sensing feelings but you're including men of color. they are classically senseless at feeling others and they end up looking like lower animals, while their women are more sensitive. ignoring POC, white males are more sensitive to feelings and reading minds than white women, and white men can read the minds and feel the feelings of all lower animals, including POC.
