Okay sure the goalposts have moved a bit but the implication is that water flavor is a good thing, but its not. Nobody is like damn this water flavor in my beer is tasty ergo by extrapolation water is not a tasty beverage.
People will say however, "these coffee notes are tasty" "these malty notes hit the spot" "the sweetness is great", never is anybody praising the wateriness.
So I ask you, how can water be the tastiest beverage.

Because fresh water is delicious and fulfills your thirst the best.
Everything else leaves you mouth sticky from sugar, more thirsty from salty things in the ingredients.
I enjoy soda and coffee and juices and stuff, but water is always the best when I'm actually thirsty.
