SF is totally cool with homeless.
The problem is most are literally insane or addicts.

Due to climate and architecture, they often camp right in front of doorways.
Very very common to open your front door to a huge pile of shit.

I wasn't there but can guarantee the homeless person was screaming on top of her lungs for hours. Likely covered in crusty piss, fecal matter, and vomit.
