Dude wanted the flooring to LOOK old, but his existing had deep gouges. I basically just sanded out the gouges, smoothed it with finer grit, then mixed some linseed oil with polyurethane finish + applied 4 coats. He loved it

I install cabinets, took a few weeks to learn. Now make $1k per day. There are hard trades but there are a lot that are not too hard but pay great, if you give a shit. We used to do flooring and wood paid the best but in my area you could only make about $600 a day and it is harder work then cabinets but takes less precision.
